Single Girder EOT Crane
Single Girder EOT Crane (Electric Overhead Travelling Crane) is a type of overhead crane that uses one main beam (girder) to lift and move materials inside factories, workshops, and warehouses.
Description
A Single Girder EOT Crane has one horizontal girder supported by end trucks (end carriages) that move on rails installed on building columns. A hoist and trolley travel on the girder to lift and move loads from one place to another.
This crane is commonly used for light to medium weight material handling.
Main Parts
Girder (Main Beam) – The single beam that supports the load.
End Carriages – Wheels that move the crane along the runway rails.
Hoist – Lifting mechanism with motor, wire rope, and hook.
Trolley – Moves the hoist left and right on the girder.
Hook – Used to lift the load.
Control System – Pendant control or remote control to operate the crane.
Lifting Capacity– Usually 1 ton to about 20 tons depending on design.
